Stretch Yourself!

journaling workshop

a series of journaling workshops

I no longer have time for teaching these workshops!
I am offering the lessons to you in a bundle:
all three for only $20!

I normally charge $50 for one four-week course with feedback, but now I am offering you the text of all three for less than half of that! I want people to have these lessons, but sadly, I do not have time for giving feedback.

There are twelve lessons total. They will arrive in three separate emails as PDF files. Please read below for information about them, the benefit of having journaling exercises to do, feedback from past participants, my qualifications and the table of contents for each lesson.

Teachers & facilitators: You may use Stretch Yourself! as a workshop by itself, or you may integrate it into your own work. Please do this legally giving proper credit, as this is copyrighted material. And please refer people to my website. Thank you!

The exercises are designed to get you to dig deep and remove your defenses around getting to know yourself. You will also be able to use these exercises over and over again, because as your awareness changes, your responses will change.

You do not need to be an experienced journaler to take these classes! Neither do you need to be a beginner. These classes are for everyone, because writers will respond to prompts according to where they are in life. Maybe you are stuck in a personal dilemma. Maybe you are content with your current station in life. Either way, you are ready to do something different to explore new facets of yourself.

I have loved teaching these workshops, because I explore new facets myself each time I offer them. When you open up about yourself, I share my life experiences, revelations and lessons. By spending time with you, I explore myself and grow. I have been the facilitator; you are the guide of your journey. I am grateful that I have been able to continue mine each time I facilitate this class.

My qualifications for heading these classes are a lifetime of writing, 32+ years of journaling, training as a life coach, training as a creativity coach, and teaching and taking many classes about creativity and journaling. I feel fortunate that I have so much experience to draw from for you!

What previous participants say:

"Thank you!! Thanks for staying in the biz. I always get a lot out of your poking and prodding." Sue

"I have to tell you again that I truly enjoyed this Stretch Yourself Workshop and getting the feedback from you that I did." Lisa

"I think of you often as I read the newsletters and always think about what you taught me." Erin

"Thanks for a wonderful experience! I learned much --- and have felt so much more creative!" Danielle

Below are details on each class:

Section One

Week One: Why & How - There are as many why's and how's of journaling as there are journalers. We'll touch on privacy issues, since journaling is so personal.

Week Two: Unsent Letters - A way to express feelings that are inappropriate.

Week Three: Word Lists - This is a creative writing exercise. No matter what we write, we discover our self.

Week Four: Visual Prompts - Learn to use photos as prompts.

Section Two

Week One: A Self Portrait - A deep look at yourself.

Week Two: Metaphors - This is a creative writing exercise, but will get you to discover and describe your emotions in a more effective way.

Week Three: Gratitude Journal - Giving thanks every day can change your perspective.

Week Four: Another Self Portrait - This is another way to see yourself. It may alter the exercise from the first week.

Section Three

Week One: Journal Jar - Your personal journal jar

Week Two: Word Play - Another creative writing exercise.

Week Three: Time Line - A different type of autobiography.

Week Four: What's on Your Desk? - A list of mundane things produces a lot of writing prompts.

Click below for this great offer! Instead of paying $150 for all three classes, you can have them for only $20!

Email me if you have any questions, or if you would like to pay with a money order. Thanks!
