ROFLMAO! *** "Knock, knock..." When journaling is about going inside and digging around parts forbidden or foreign, it's not always fun. We may come across something ugly, or we may choose to dive into a painful issue and get to the root of why it is having a negative impact on our lives. The road to inner peace is not pleasant, but it is rewarding. "Who's there?" In your travels into your soul, remember to laugh. Maintain your sense of humor. Laughter is effective stress release. I'm sure you've had an uncontrollable laughing spell over the stupidest little thing. Your eyes water and you can't stop laughing. You're doubled over, screaming with laughter, that is if you can breathe! When you finally collect yourself, you're exhausted. This is on a parallel with the counselor's advice to hit a pillow with a hammer or get some hard physical exercise until you are so tired, you can't continue. When stress, anger or anxiety are inside our bodies, they literally eat at us. To get them out is healing, and laughter is wonderful for that! "Euripides." I know all about the cycles of digging deep and staying light. They go with my female cycle, but most intensely since I've entered peri-menopause! Blue, angry, dark, apathetic & introspective - that is my PMS symptom (singular!). It's a tough week or two before my moon, but I embrace it, find my troubles and deal with them. The next couple weeks, though, it's hard to look inside too deeply. I do NOT want to go there! I want to stay on the surface. I am cheerful, enthusiastic, sexy, energetic and optimistic, powerful, able-to-conquer-the-world! I laugh, go out, socialize, start ambitious projects, and live fearlessly. "Euripides who?" I am two very different people within the course of a month (or three weeks, or five weeks, depending on what this body-in-transition feels like doing!). I utilize my PMS symptom to go inward, but I use those other days to get outside of myself. It's fun, bright, sunny, warm. I smile, connect with others, and love life. I laugh a lot. Did I say that?! "Euripides pants, ya buy me another pair!" ROFLMAO!! My kids love to tell me jokes. During moon-time, I don't want to hear them, but when I am ready to receive their silliness, they throw jokes at me all day. It's all in the timing! "What do computers eat when they're hungry? Chips." "Where do you put a noisy dog? A barking lot." "Why isn't your nose 12" long? Because then it would be a foot!" "What is red, fuzzy and kept in a can? Pickle Me Elmo!" And one of my favorites: "How do you get a tissue to dance? You put a little boogie in it!" ROFLMAO!!! Here are some sites to keep you laughing. Words of Wit - just plain silly! The Onion - the news with a twist. Or is that twisted news? I have had a lot of fun writing this! I've had to wipe away the tears and catch my breath more than once. The kids kept coming to me with jokes, asking if I'll use them on the site. They love life and laughter, too, and we feel like a tight family when we are all cracking up! Try it - you'll love it - and I guarantee that! * - Rolling On the Floor Laughing My A** Off!! *
